Coffins - Buried Death

Coffins
Buried Death
20 Buck Spin

The sound of Tokyo's Coffins is the sound of old-school, plodding, mid-paced death metal. Buried Death is the perfect amalgamation of Autopsy, Bolt Thrower and pre-death-n-roll Pungent Stench.

Buried Death features all of the hallmarks of old-school death metal. The solos are haunting, the breakdowns are heavier than a steel plate and the riffs have a blackened, Celtic Frost vibe. It's nothing that you (literally) haven't heard before, but it's well-played and enjoyable.

Coffins isn't the band to look to for originality or insight. However, if you remember the good old days, Buried Death will fit like an old shoe. If you weren't around for the old days, it's an authentic taste of what they were like.
