Black Seeds of Vengeance
Relapse

I love Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka. No really, I love Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka. Something though, you’ve just got to be honest and admit that Black Seeds of Vengeance is the shit. It really is. This is Nile’s hate.
The title track is a personal favorite and “Chapter for Transforming into a Snake” is still a staple of Nile’s live set. Chief Spires played bass on this one and Derek Roddy (Hate Eternal) did some extra percussion. Nile’s playing on this album is more straight-forward than on Amongst the Catacomb of Nephren-Ka, without the focus on unusual instruments. Black Seeds of Vengeance is another Nile epic about harsh life in Ancient Egypt. Plus, it’s an outstanding death metal album.
